CHUNKY FLOWER BROOCH
You will need :
* Small amount of chunky yarn or 2 strands of DK together.
* Safety pin or brooch back
* Button or beads
Using 5.5mm
knitting needles, cast on 102 sts and work 4 rows in stocking stitch
(one row knit and one row purl).
Next row : Knit 6, rotate the right hand needle 360 degrees anti
clockwise. Repeat to end.
Next row : Purl 2 together. Repeat to end.
Next row : Knit 2 together. Repeat to end.
Repeat the last two rows until 7sts remain.
Break off yarn and thread through stitches and fasten off securely.

Attach safety pin or brooch back and you’ve finished!!

Using 3.25mm (UK10)
knitting needles, cast on 12 sts.
Knit 3 rows.
*Cast off 8sts and knit to end of row. 4sts.
Knit 4sts and cast on 8sts. 12sts. Knit 2 rows.**
Repeat from* to ** 29 times.
Cast off and form into a spiral shape and stitch in place. Stitch a
button or beads into the middle.
Attach safety pin
and you’ve finished!!
These brooches are a great way of using up oddments of yarn and can look
great on jackets, bags, tops, belts etc. Try using two different
types of yarn together to obtain unusual and unique flowers!
